The Junior League is thrilled to highlight Rachel Ullmann, an exceptional provisional who consistently makes a positive impact volunteering in the League’s Pantry and Front Office.

Rachel’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail shine brightly, particularly in situations that require quick thinking and multi-tasking. The Front Office team has also shared glowing feedback about Rachel’s helpfulness and positive presence. It’s clear that she brings both dedication and a warm, supportive attitude to everything she does.

Congratulations to Taylor Langston who was nominated for the Member Spotlight Award. Taylor has gone above and beyond in her role as the VIEW Assistant Chair, exemplifying dedication to the League’s mission.

Taylor, and the entire VIEW Committee, recently showcased their creativity and commitment at the Alley Theatre’s Deck The Trees event. The committee’s creativity shone brightly as they designed and crafted unique pop art ornaments, each representing historical JLH facts. These stunning ornaments adorned the League’s Christmas tree, spreading holiday cheer and celebrating our legacy within the community.

The VIEW Committee consistently embodies the spirit of JLH through their various projects that benefit numerous community organizations and foster meaningful connections among members.

Houston Museum of Natural Science Chair 

The League is thrilled to recognize Elizabeth Evetts for the September Membership Spotlight Award. Elizabeth was nominated in recognition of the outstanding degree of passion she demonstrates toward her leadership role. Prior to the start of her role as the Houston Museum of Natural Science Chair, Elizabeth showed care and compassion toward her new committee members in the aftermath of the May Derecho. As most of the city was without power, the Houston Museum of Natural Science’s scheduled project orientation had to be rescheduled Elizabeth checked on her members, despite not having power herself, quickly corresponded with the museum, and displayed an unwavering dedication to her position. Thank you for being an outstanding leader in a tough time, Elizabeth!
