Since 1925, the Junior League of Houston has partnered with organizations to deliver services and assistance directly to those in need, affecting positive change through the efforts of its highly trained and empowered female volunteers. In 2019 – 2020, more than 1,400 dedicated volunteers, 86 percent of whom work outside of the home, will contribute over 100,000 hours of service in the Houston community through the League’s 35 community projects and other volunteer initiatives.
The Tea Room is enjoyed and supported by Junior League members as well as Tea Room individual patron members and Tea Room corporate patron members. Tea Room guestsplay a vital role in “Building A Better Community” by supporting the Tea Room and the League’s rigorous training program that instills the discipline of service in its volunteers. Throughout the year, the Tea Room is open for luncheon service, special events and facility rentals to fund and support the mission of the Junior League of Houston.
