Community Initiatives

Through its 2018 – 2019 Community Program, the Junior League of Houston will support 36 projects, some of which are long-standing partnerships while others are in their infancy.

Annually, the Junior League takes applications for new volunteer opportunities from outside agencies through its Community Initiatives Committee.

Given the size and dynamic nature of the Greater Houston Area and that volunteer needs constantly evolve, the League is committed to researching opportunities to enhance its Community Program. As a partner in “Building A Better Community,” the Junior League of Houston evaluates new prospects for service and support.

The 2018 – 2019 Volunteer Request Application, which will be evaluated during the 2018 – 2019 Junior League year to become a potential Junior League of Houston project during the 2019 – 2020 Junior League year, was due on Friday, August 3, 2019.

If you have any questions about the process or a future application, please contact Amanda Gyeszly, Community Initiatives Chairman, at community_initiatives@jlh.org.
