Grants

For more than 95 years, The Junior League of Houston, Inc. has been committed to improving the Houston community. In addition to providing trained volunteers throughout the Houston Community, the Junior League is committed to community outreach through financial support.

The Junior League provides financial support to organizations where its members do not actively volunteer through Community Assistance Grants and Emergency/Contingency Grants.

The Community Assistance Committee evaluates grant applications for projects in the greater Houston community that do not currently receive volunteer support from the League and makes funding recommendations to the League’s Board of Directors for consideration. Specifically, requests that address a critical or basic need, fund a pilot program and/or expand a significant service to the community are considered.

The purpose of the Community Emergency/Contingency Grants is the distribution of monetary grants to address the emergency or short-term needs of tax exempt agencies.
