Leadership Institute Training

The award winning¹ Leadership Institute Training (LIT) program furthers The Junior League of Houston’s mission of developing the potential of women leaders by preparing future leaders to lead authentically within the League.
LIT participants:
  • Connect with both aspiring and existing League leaders.
  • Explore their authentic leadership styles and the values and talents that shape one’s approach to leadership.
  • Learn how to leverage their leadership skills within the League.
  • Gain a detailed understanding of how each League council fosters the Junior League of Houston’s mission.
  • Receive mentoring, tips, and tools for success from League leaders based on their own leadership journeys in and out of the League.
  • Contribute to the League’s mission by interacting with the community to learn about a community issue to encourage advocacy.
Leadership Institute Training is a program developed and incubated at the Junior League of Houston to invest in, mold and shape future League and community leaders.
Members are able to apply for the program each year in the Spring.
