The Junior League of Houston will host a virtual panel discussion on Thursday, April 29th, from 7-8pm exploring how to remove the barriers to racial equity. Speakers will explore what organizations are doing in Houston to address inequities in the community from education to healthcare to housing and what we as individuals can do to be allies in the fight for racial equity. Roseann Rogers, the former Buzz Lady for KPRC, will moderate the panel. Confirmed speakers include the following:
- Shannon Buggs, Director, Mayor’s Office of Complete Communities,
- Graci Garces, Director of Partnerships, Baker Ripley,
- Yvonne Harris, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consultant
- Marvin Pierre, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Eight Million Stories.
