What: The Junior League of Houston opening fashion show luncheon

Where: The Junior League of Houston headquarters on Briar Oaks Lane

PC Moment: What could put the ladies in more of a fall mood than the grand array of seasonal fashions from Elizabeth Anthony that hit the catwalk in a tempting reminder that the big parties and luncheons are just around the corner. As is tradition, Junior League members modeled the fashions that this year included looks from Alberta Ferretti, Veronica Beard, Giambattista Valli, Prabal Gurung, Temperley London and more.

The presentation was produced by the popular and ever-glam Ursaline Hamilton. Say hello to wide-legged trousers, leather jackets and red carpet gowns.

The fall luncheon marks the launch of the Junior League of Houston year during which the 1,400 active members contribute $2 million in volunteer hours and financial contributions to 36 community projects.

Champagne and iced tea flowed as ladies dined on chicken scallopini with truffle butter mashed potatoes and grilled zucchini and tiramisu for dessert. Departing goodies for guests included fancy cookies from the Junior League pantry as well as discount cards from Elizabeth Anthony and Fringe Salon and Color Bar.
