The Junior League of Houston, Inc. recently awarded the 2011 Sara Houstoun Lindsey Award to Rachel Podsednik Regan. The Sara Houstoun Lindsey Award was endowed by John H. Lindsey to honor his wife, 1957 – 1958 Junior League of Houston President, Sara Houstoun Lindsey. This annual award honors an outstanding active member of the League with a minimum of five years of service, who exemplifies the League’s mission, both within the organization and in the community at large.

Upon receiving this award Rachel said, “As I think about what this award represents, and all the incredible women in this organization in which I am honored to serve alongside, I stand in disbelief that I was nominated for this honor, much less chosen. I will do my best to continue to embody the essence of what this award represents in all that I do.”
