The weather is starting to cooperate and it’s not horrifically hot outside, which can only mean one thing, Houston society season is back in action.

Though the 2018 parties kicked off back in April, things really kicked into full gear in September with everything from a Texans party at Steak48 to the Houston Symphony’s grand return to the Theater District

The weekend leading up to Monday, Sept. 10 was especially active, starting with the Houston Symphony’s Opening night on Saturday, Sept. 8. The dazzling soiree marked their return to to the Theater District one year after they were displaced by Hurricane Harvey

Apart from celebrating music, Houston’s elite took to the Bayou City’s newly-christened, five-star Post Oak Hotel for a charity event that raised a record $500,000 for Houston PetSet, which is part of an organization that awards grants to local animal non-profits.

Finally, after four years of sending looks down the runway, Houston’s own sophisticated boutique, Elizabeth Anthony bumped frontrunner Tootsies out of the Junior League’s annual Opening Style Show, featuring a luxury party complete with exquisite food and goodie bags.
