Community Initiatives

The deadline for volunteer request submissions for 2017 – 2018 has passed. Please inquire during the submission process next spring, 2017.

As a part of its 2016 – 2017 Community Program, the Junior League of Houston will support 37 different projects, some of which are long-standing partnerships while others are just in their infancy. Given the size and dynamic nature of the Greater Houston Area, volunteer needs continue to evolve, and as a partner in “Building A Better Community,” the Junior League understands the need to constantly evaluate new prospects for service and support.

Through its Community Initiatives Committee, the Junior League is committed to researching these opportunities to enhance its Community Program. Should your agency be interested in applying for a new, ongoing community project supported by Junior League volunteers beginning in 2018, please review the Volunteer Request Application Form, which contains guidelines and considerations used by the committee throughout this process.
