Budget & Volunteer Requests

Agencies where the Junior League has an existing community project should follow the timeline and instructions below to submit requests for continued budget and volunteer support for 2027 – 2028. An agency that wants to apply for the creation of a new, ongoing volunteer opportunity with the Junior League should review the information about the Junior League’s Community Initiatives.

 

2025 – 2026 Volunteer and Budget Funding

May 15, 2026 Deadline for submitting the Stewardship Form regarding grant support monies spent, if applicable.
May 15, 2026 Deadline for submitting requests for reimbursement of project Program Support expenses.

 

2026 – 2027 Volunteer and Budget Funding Timeline

June 1, 2026

June 2, 2026

 2026 – 2027 Junior League of Houston volunteers begin volunteer service.
2026 – 2027 League contract and approved budgets mailed to agency.
June 30, 2026 Signed 2026 – 2027 League contract and Certificate of Liability Insurance due to the League via mail or email to admin_director@jlh.org.
Variable Grant support (if applicable) paid to agency.
May 14, 2027 Deadline for submitting the Stewardship Form regarding grant support monies spent, if applicable.
May 14, 2027 Deadline for submitting requests for reimbursement of project Program Support expenses.

 

2027 – 2028 Volunteer and Budget Request Timeline

August 1, 2026 Volunteer and budget (if applicable) request for 2027 – 2028 due to the Community Vice President using the Volunteer and Budget Request Form. Budget requests include Program Support and Grant Support.
November 18, 2026 Amendments to volunteer and budget requests for 2027 – 2028 will be accepted through this date.
June –
December 2026		 League Community Impact Committees review and evaluate community projects as well as volunteer and budget requests for 2027 – 2028 community projects. The League’s Community Council votes on recommended changes to projects.
December 2026 Community Vice President and Community Impact Committees make community project change recommendations to the League’s Board of Directors.
January 2027 Community Council votes on proposed Program Support and Grant Support for 2027 – 2028 fiscal year.
April 2027 The League’s Finance Council and Board of Directors votes on proposed 2027 – 2028 budget.
May 2027 League general membership votes on proposed 2027 – 2028 budget.
June 1, 2027 2027 – 2028 Junior League of Houston volunteers begin volunteer service.
2027 – 2028 League contract and approved budgets mailed to agency.
